Farm Credit Illinois recently hired two employees in its 60-county territory: Jeff Carron of Raymond now works as a crop insurance assistant vice president and Laura DuFrenne of Red Bud was hired as a lending vice president.
Carron joined the FCI team as a crop insurance assistant vice president at the cooperative’s Taylorville regional office. The Taylorville office serves farm families and rural landowners in Christian, Macoupin, and Montgomery Counties.
Carron grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Lincolnwood High School. He received his associate’s degree in agriculture from Lincoln Land Community College before earning a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University in agribusiness and agronomy. He volunteers as part of the Raymond-Harvel fire department.
Prior to joining the Farm Credit team, Carron worked as a crop adjuster at Great American Insurance and as agronomist and owner at Precision Agronomy in Raymond. Carron and his wife Amber reside in Raymond. He is the son of John and Sandra Carron.
DuFrenne returned to FCI as a lending vice president at the cooperative’s Red Bud regional office. The Red Bud office serves farm families and rural landowners in Monroe, Randolph, and St. Clair Counties.
DuFrenne grew up in Randolph County and graduated from Sparta High School before receiving her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She has also completed the University of Missouri’s agricultural lenders school program.
DuFrenne returns to FCI with 15 years of lending experience in the Red Bud area – most recently spending two years working at First Bank in Red Bud after 13 years at Farm Credit. DuFrenne and her husband Leo reside in Red Bud with their daughter Maggie.
